Fathers' day is approaching and in my financial situation a gift for any of the dad's in my life is just short of an option. So, I will write. However, I reserve this public space for the most important dad in my life today...My Husband.
The top 10 things about you as a Dad that I'm thankful for (in no particular order):
I am thankful for:
Your unwavering calm in midst of crisis.
Your faith in God(it is a great testimony to our kids)
Your ability to make the kids smile no matter what the circumstance (ok, I admit it..me too)
The way you only care about the things that really matter.
Your 5a.m. trek to William's room every morning since he was about 8 months old to give him his bottle (without complaint I might add)
Your tender hands that mend every scraped knee and bumped head.
Your desire to instill knowledge in our children.
Your sense of humor (especially your funny voices when you read to the kids.)
The way your eyes light up when you play with the kids.
The way you unconditionally love me, Emmelyn, and William and how we all know that will never change.
I have never regretted that you are the father of my children or my husband. I am truly blessed to be your wife. I know that we have had an interesting year, but I mean all of that with all my heart. I hope you know that. You mean so much to me, Joel Daniel Wynn. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your life. I'm waking daily now and thanking God for you every morning before I get out of bed. I pray for you while I work and once again thank God for giving you to me. You have become an amazing father and I know that both of our children will grow up proud that you are their Dad.
So, thank you, to the father of my children, my best friend, my lover, my companion, my confidant, my rock.
I love you.
(p.s. I know that words are not your love language...but in our time of ...moneyless days, this will have to do. :) )
